Are you talking about "Geometric" Image Analysis? This tool purely uses geometric rays alone.

non-sequential mode does not account diffraction unless you use certain setting that may wrok out something such as interference but this is resctricted at the detector objects,otherwise this mode will just use geometric rays. You should not have to worry about it. g$j
